MOSCOW, January 26. /TASS/. The Moscow Presnensky district court will hold hearings into a lawsuit filed by Chief of the Russian Railways company Vladimir Yakunin against the New York Times daily,
The court hearings into the lawsuit, in which Yakunin claims moral damages for detriment to his honor,dignity and business reputation, will be held at Presensky court in February 19, spokeswoman for the Presnesnsky court Nina Yurkova told TASS.
Vladimir Yakunin has challenged a newspaper report published in its April 27, 2014 issue, alleging that "Yakunin had violated Russian laws."
Yakunin has dismissed as false the information about him published by the New York Times. He demanded that the US newspaper refute that report in the Russian edition of the New York Times and in the Austrian and German editions which have "a New York Times enclosure," Vladimir Yakunin's lawyer Alexey Melnikov told TASS.
The plaintiff claims no financial compensation, the lawyer underlined.
