ITAR-TASS: Russia - Putin: the sharp aggravation of crisis in Ukraine is the outcome of irresponsible policy

MOSCOW, April 16. /ITAR-TASS/. The sharp aggravation of the crisis in Ukraine has been the outcome of an irresponsible policy being pursued by Kiev which ignores the legitimate rights and interests of the country's Russian-speaking people, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, the Kremlin press service reported on Wednesday.

"The inadmissibility of the use of armed forces by the present regime for suppressing the protest actions of civilians in Ukraine's south-east was emphasized," the press service report says. Putin made an estimate of the current processes in Ukraine at a request from Netanyahu.

During the telephone conversation, which was held on the initiative of the Israeli side, Putin and Netanyahu discussed matters of current importance concerning bilateral cooperation and the international agenda, including the course of talks on Iran's nuclear program.

The RF President and the Prime Minister of Israel agreed to go ahead with regular exchanges of views on matters of mutual interest.
